Yaxunah label

These Illustrations and package designs are based on ancient mayan drawings from the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico. Package and Tag designs were created for wine bottle covers and sets of greeting cards which are created and hand embroidered by artisans in the Yucatan using traditional designs and techniques. The designs are printed on handmade paper made by the same women using only ancient traditional techniques utilizing stones to pound the paper pulp. This creates a unique set of colors and patterns on the paper.
